The verdict
Recommended
An early verdict, and a surprising one: better than Prizm Road Black in my testing so far. It is a pure neutral tint that pushes every colour down evenly, no contrast tricks, and the eyes do an amazing job with what is left. Road Black supposedly enhances colours, but to me it mushes them. Black also wins from the outside: a clean chrome mirror finish, where Road Black's violet base shines through.

The same seven scenes, one locked exposure. This one is loaded against Prizm Road Black.
How brightness is shown. Every lens was shot at one locked exposure set on the bare sensor, so True exposure is the real light transmission. Your eye adapts, so a dark lens never looks that dark in life: Eye adapted raises each image by its measured transmission (perceived = transmission^0.5). Colour only normalises every lens to the same brightness to isolate the tint.
